You care for our members without working 12-hour shifts, being on call, staying late daily and working with increased patient ratios that change day-to-day and, at times, unsafely.\n\nAt Active Day -you provide \"true care\" to Your members. You will \"get to know\" your members and provide the person-centered care you've always wanted to provide. You will rarely be required to handle acute care conditions day-to-day, and most centers will have Aides to assist you as needed.\n\nUnlike hospitals and residential care, you will have manageable duties. You will become familiar with your members' healthcare needs and have various support personnel that you can trust and rely on!\n\nAs part of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in benefits programs, including:\n\nPaid Time Off (“PTO”)\nMedical/Vision\nDental\n401(k)\nJob Summary\nThe Registered Nurse provides nursing care to members in accordance with physician's orders and emergent needs. Duties involve coordinating care with other professional disciplines and providing instruction and assistance to members, staff, family members and the general community. The Registered Nurse ensures that all work complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nProvides nursing care and administers medication to members according to individual plan of care, physician's orders and emergent needs, and documents clinical and progress notes on the member's medical record.\nPerforms initial nursing assessments, observes, monitors and documents members' vital signs and responses to treatments and medications, reporting abnormalities to physician. Coordinates care with other member care services (ie: Dietary, Pharmacy, Dental, Rehabilitation, Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapy, Audiology, DME).\nAssists members as needed with daily functional activities, including but not limited to, hygiene, meals, ambulation, arrivals and departures, and social activities.\nProvides health education and instruction to staff, members, family members and the general community as directed. Participates in facility marketing activities.\nProvides emergency care and prepares incident reports as required.\nMay perform duties of Director of Nursing as required.\nParticipate in continuing nursing education.\nExposure to biological agents (ie: body fluids, micro-organisms)\nContinuous walking/standing up to 4 hours\nWalking up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period\nStanding up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period\nSitting up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period\nOccasional lifting up to 50 pounds\nOccasional pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds\nFrequent overhead reaching\nFrequent bending, twisting, and kneeling\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nEducation: RN License, CPR certification, and valid malpractice insurance policy if applicable.\nExperience: 1-2 years full time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility. Geriatric and long term care experience preferred.
