Packaging Engineer

Job Title: Packaging Engineer About Fuyao We provide automotive glass for the North America market and currently have glass manufacturing relationships with some of the top automotive manufacturers in North America including GM, Honda, Chrysler, Kia, BMW and Hyundai. We operate several production lines for a variety of vehicle models from each of these automotive manufacturers. The position is hiring for Fuyao Glass America - South Carolina Factory in Fountain Inn SC. Job Summary: Ensure the effective control of product package and reduce packing cost on the condition of ensuring product quality. Job Functions: Prepare packing technical requirement or new products and new customers Timely fulfill the preparation of packing process for new products and responsible for data maintenance Design, verify and track new packing technology Improve packing technology, packing quality and work efficiency as well as reduce packing cost Develop packing materials; Develop safe, eco-friendly and low-cost internal and external packing materials Develop new packing technology Satisfy different packing requirements from customer Technical supervision Find and solve field packing problems Know customer's packing requirement and responsible for packing case confirmation Communicate with customer, submit packing plan to customer and have them signed by customer for confirmation Other duties as assigned Nothing in the Position Description restricts management's right to assign or re-assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time Qualifications Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers At least 1 year of working experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) The employee is regularly required o stand or sit for long periods. Duties will include long periods of viewing a computer monitor Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software Familiar with CAD Know product packing and logistics characteristics Know packing technology relating to inter layer tempered and injection product Familiar with logistics characteristics under different transportation conditions such as bus transport, rail transport, sea transport and air transportation Familiar with the characteristics of wooden case packing, iron case packing and carton packing Familiar with CAD, carton/wooden case packing design and the characteristics of safety glasses To solve and improve problems relating to the post Able to make data statistical analysis Equipped with emergency management capability Equipped with a certain degree of interpersonal skill Equipped with coordination skill TS16949 training Training about the five reference books Training about innovation methods Training about project management Six Sigma training Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
