Candidates should be comfortable building serious training content for enterprise and defense customers, including practical, mission-oriented simulation experiences.\nIn this role, you will own training and simulation modules from concept through delivery, including scenario design, level creation, gameplay logic, interaction design, testing, iteration, and final polish. Most projects will be focused in scope, but they will move quickly and require strong ownership, practical design judgment, and the ability to deliver complete, usable training modules.\nOur applications are built using game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity, so this role requires strong experience developing interactive 3D content, gameplay systems, and VR interactions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building practical VR experiences, can work independently, and wants to deliver complete training simulations for enterprise and defense customers.\nResponsibilities:\nTranslate customer requirements into complete VR training modules that can be delivered, tested, and iterated quickly\nDesign and implement interactive training scenarios, including training objectives, user flow, environment setup, gameplay logic, scoring, completion criteria, and after-action feedback\nBuild levels from start to finish, including blockout, layout, set dressing, lighting, and final polish\nImplement gameplay logic, interaction systems, and training functionality using Unreal Engine/Blueprint, Unity/C#, or similar game development tools\nFrequently test builds to ensure quality, usability, and reliability\nWork in a fast-paced, small-team environment where one developer may own a complete module from start to finish\nRequirements:\nMust be eligible to work on U.S. defense-related projects. Depending on customer requirements, U.S. Person status or security clearance eligibility may be required.\nPortfolio of work required for consideration\n2+ years of experience developing interactive 3D applications, games, simulations, or VR experiences using Unreal Engine, Unity, or a similar game engine\nBachelor’s degree in game design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nStrong gameplay implementation skills using Blueprint scripting, C#, C++, visual scripting, or similar tools\nExperience with level design, gameplay implementation, interaction design, and rapid prototyping\nAbility to own small-to-medium projects from concept through completion\nComfortable developing serious training applications for enterprise and defense customers\nStrong desire to work in-office in a collaborative, fast-paced environment\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail\nAble to adapt quickly to changing requirements and approaching deadlines\nThrives in a startup with a do-it-all, get-it-done culture\nNice to have:\nExperience developing in both Unreal Engine and Unity\nExperience making networked or multiplayer applications\nExperience with 3D modeling, animation, or content creation tools\nOur ideal candidate has all the above skills, but we understand that strong candidates may not check every box.
