This position will analyze and evaluate major system project requirements of considerable complexity requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the system. Review user requirements and provide direction in the identification of problem and potential resolution. Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of complex, multiple inter-linked systems. Define system objectives and prepare system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. Job duties will include, but are not limited to the following:\nResponsibilities:\nProviding level-2 and level-3 technical support for Citrix / XenApps server environment\nMonitoring of VDI platform with various client tools Netscaler, ControlUP)\nSupport will include:\nVDI End-User Sessions\nVDI Stack\nLevel-2 management and technical support\nEnsuring virtual sessions are working as intended\nHandling IT- VDI related requests or inquiries received by client helpdesk\nEnsuring all Citrix platform server systems under management have updated software patches\nXenDesktop Broker including VDI monitoring and alerting support of the Citrix /VMware applications which are responsible for delivery of the virtualized desktop or applications\nEnsure high levels of client satisfaction for the products/solutions which are supported\nAddresses all technical questions around VDI and Citrix\nParticipate in client meetings to update team members\nAbility to be the technical Subject Matter Expert within the Environment\nDeploy and support core Microsoft services, AD, ADFS, DNS & DHCP, WSUS and Group Policy.\nQualifications Skills, Experience & Qualifications:\nAdvanced system testing tool knowledge & experience\nStrong technical experience with the following technologies:\nCitrix Xen Desktop\nCitrix Xen Server\nMicrosoft Windows infrastructure.\nAbility to work well within a team environment\nExperience with Workflow analysis\nTechnical collaboration for client problem solving\nAbility to apply best practices to ensure maximum amount of production\nAbility to provide one-on-one training to teammates\nREQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):\n5+ years of experience with Citrix XenApp\n5+ years of experience with XenServer Administration\n5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers\n5+ years of experience with Citrix App Layering\nREQUIRED EDUCATION:\nAn Associate degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relavent experience.\nPREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):\nExperience troubleshooting systems, identifying root cause, and creating action plans to resolve issues\nExperience working within complex VDI environment.\nCUI REQUIREMENTS:\nI understand that only the workspaces designated for this project and that are specified in the approved Technology Control Plan (TCP) or granted by the Office of Export Control and Research Security (ECRS), may be used to access, process, store, or transmit regulated research data.\nI understand that I must use the Granite Secure VDI to view, store, process, or transmit regulated research data (CUI, Export Control, etc.) from onsite University work locations and/or my approved remote work site as defined in my approved remote work agreement.
