In this role, you will support welding operations by preparing materials, assisting skilled welders, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication process. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction site experience and a strong interest in welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to teamwork. This is a hands-on position to learn the process of assembly and installation of pipes in units by performing the following duties in reasonable and productive frames:\nJob Responsibilities and Duties:\nMust be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch.\nMust be able to follow verbal, written and pictorial instructions.\nMust be able to use hand tools.\nCuts, threads, and bends pipe with a Hydraulic Pipe Bender\nAssembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper and plastic.\nAbility to use acetylene and oxygen torch set.\nRead blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.\nTrain and work in multiple types of manufacturing positions (i.e. assembly, paint, wire and weld).\nAssist welders with setup, positioning, and securing of piping and sheet metal components.\nSupport pipe threading, assembly, rigging, and mechanical fitting activities.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\n2 years of Hand tools and power tools experience\n1- 3 Years of related experience or training\nAbility to read and understand English Instructions\nAbility to speak effectively with employees of organization\nAbility to do basic math in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals\nPrior experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving piping or metal fabrication\nMechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly, rigging, and soldering processes\nAbility to remain in a stationary position\nAbility to reach, stool, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance\nStrong attention to detail combined with good communication skills\nWillingness to learn new skills related to welding support activities\nAbility to heavy lift and/or move up to 50lbs\nHigh School Diploma or GED Work.\nPass a background check and drug test.\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
