Engineer","description":"Job Description\nJOB SUMMARY: Analyze design related complaints, evaluate product (component) returns, complete root cause analysis on returns, complete engineering investigations and write a technical report.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nAnalyze design related complaint codes (read the complaint codes and evaluate, research and combine like items)\n\nComplete engineering evaluation and root cause analysis on returned parts (parts that failed in the field) – figure out why they failed\n\nApply basic knowledge of metals/plastics/welding/electronics/assembly (failure modes) in engineering evaluations\n\nComplete engineering investigations (including risk management)\n\nWrite a technical report for the investigation\n\nApply technical competencies in somewhat difficult situations\n\nIdentify technical problems and provide root cause analysis\n\nShare technical knowledge with others in the team\n\nGenerate detailed, high quality technical documentation (attention to detail)\n\nComplete assigned tasks on time with minimal supervision (self‑motivated)\n\nUse existing tools and best practices to report and track process metrics\n\nEffectively communicate and interact with customers, team members, and various technical disciplines\n\nProactively inform others about developments or issues that affect their work and their ability to meet commitments\n\nContribute value-added ideas in brainstorming sessions\n\nUnderstand detail design drawings, schematics, specifications and bills of material (BOMs)\n\nWork in a non-supervisory role\n\nQualifications\n\nAS or BS Degree (preferred) or equivalent technical work experience\n\n4+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience (Quality engineering, Design Engineering, Complaint analyst, technical writer)\n\nStrong organizational and communication skills\n\nProficient problem‑solving skills\n\nStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, databases, internet)\n\nExperience in the medical device industry is preferred\n\n2+ years working in cross‑functional teams consisting of discipline‑specific engineers, or comparable experience\n\nFundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes\n\nExperience in
