This is an opportunity to tackle complex problems usually reserved for a handful of large companies in the search industry.\r\nAbout the Opportunity\r\nWe are a dynamic company looking for our next great hire to join our team in Carlsbad, California.\r\nWe are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team to manage and oversee data logging, pipelines, processing and presentation of data related to NTENT's platforms. The right candidate will take a lead role on the design of NTENT's next generation platform utilizing technologies outside of the Hadoop ecosystem.\r\nDuties and Responsibilities\r\nDesign, implement, and support ETL data pipelines in a big data environment\r\nMaintain and improve existing data logging, pipeline and analytics platform\r\nArchitect and design next generation data platform with appropriate new technologies\r\nWork with executives, product managers, machine learning scientists, and engineers to understand reporting and visualization needs\r\nDesign, implement, and support a SQL based data warehouse\r\nEnsure reliability and accuracy of data logging and processing for all NTENT products\r\nSkills and Qualifications\r\nGraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience\r\n3+ years working in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing\r\nExperience with T-SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server\r\nExperience with Database design and schema definition\r\nExperience with Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Pig, Oozie)\r\nExperience with Python\r\nExperience with Data Visualization and Reporting platforms\r\nThe following experience is a plus\r\nTableau\r\nKafka\r\nSpark\r\nAdditional Qualifications\r\nThe ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and be able to work independently.\r\nA keen interest in various aspects of language processing is essential in our multi-disciplinary team.\r\nBenefits\r\nWe offer a full comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision.
