Director of Project Management
OverviewSPMD, a division of Image Options, is seeking a Vice President of Project Management to lead and scale our project management function across a portfolio of high-impact, design-driven environments.SPMD is a collaborative design, fabrication, and installation studio operating at the intersection of architecture, art, and brand storytelling. We partner with leading global brands, architects, and design firms to create immersive environments that bring culture, identity, and experience to life through environmental graphics, art curation, architectural installations, and custom fabrication.As part of Image Options, we extend these capabilities into full-scale execution. From concept through installation, our teams deliver complex, high-visibility projects for Fortune 1000 companies and leading tech brands including Google, Netflix, Intuit, and others.This role will lead a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering these projects with precision, consistency, and accountability. The RoleThe VP of Project Management is responsible for the overall performance of project delivery across SPMD and its integration within Image Options’ broader execution platform.This is not a coordination role. This is leadership and ownership of the business function.You will lead a team managing multiple concurrent projects that span design collaboration, engineering, fabrication, logistics, and installation. These projects often involve coordination with internal creative teams, external architects and designers, general contractors, and client stakeholders.You will be accountable for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at a level of quality that reflects the brands we serve.You will also work closely with the executive leadership team of Image Options to continually improve workflow, strengthen intercompany coordination, and support future growth initiatives across the combined platform. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Project Managers- Establish clear accountability, structure, and expectations- Build a culture of ownership and executionProject Execution Oversight- Oversee full lifecycle of projects from concept through installation- Ensure alignment between design, engineering, and production- Maintain visibility across all active projectsCross-Functional Coordination- Align design, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams- Coordinate with architects, agencies, and contractorsClient & Stakeholder Engagement- Interface with senior stakeholders- Reinforce trust through executionOperational Excellence- Standardize processes without slowing execution- Drive workflow improvementsFinancial Accountability- Own budgets and margins- Manage scope and change orders Qualifications- 10+ years leadership experience in project management- Background in experiential design, EGD, architecture, or fabrication- Experience leading teams and complex projects- Strong financial and operational acumen- Ability to operate strategically and tactically What Success Looks Like- Projects delivered on time and on budget- Strong team accountability- Improved cross-functional alignment- Increased client satisfaction and repeat business- Stronger margins About SPM Design + Image OptionsSPM Design is a multidisciplinary studio specializing in environmental design, art curation, fabrication, and installation.Image Options expands these capabilities with large-scale production, engineering, and installation.Together, we create spaces that reflect the culture and identity of the world’s leading companies.Compensation and Benefits- This is a full time in office position – after 90 days there may be the option to work remotely from home 1 day per week.- Full Benefits package offered – including 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Hospital, Critical Illness, and Pet Insurance.- Cell Phone Stipend and reimbursement for business expenses including travel mileage- Travel will be required – approximately 20-25%- Ability to participate in any bonus program initiated by the company to commensurate with employment levelSalary Rate - $130,000 to $160,000 annually, based on experience
