Pivot Path Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Program Analyst to support a customer at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) agency in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. The environment is dynamic, and the client needs are often evolving. This is a hybrid position. The candidate will primarily work remotely from home but will need to come into the office whenever the executive is in town.\n\nTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should be well-organized, have outstanding time management skills and be able to act with little to no supervision. Flexibility and forward-thinking views are important to possess. The candidate within this role will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing personalized and timely support to executive members.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\nConduct research, analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports.\nDetermine program requirements and make recommendations.\nAnalyze programs, policies, procedures, and systems and make recommendations to optimize these.\nDraft new or revised policies and procedures.\nAssist program managers with the development of budgets and schedules as well as tracking metrics.\nIdentify and resolve issues and problems.\nPlan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of operations and programs.\nPrepare and present reports and make recommendations.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education).\n5 years related experience required\nMust have knowledge in how to plan, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs.\nMust be able to use source data to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and business processes.\nMust be able to use qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of the operations.\nMust be able to effectively manipulate data to present program status and make recommendations on improving business processes.\nExperience in creating new methods of gathering and analyzing source data to evaluate program effectiveness and analyze business processes.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Tier II Moderate Risk Background Investigation.\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.\nProvide expert guidance to optimize systems, procedures, and processes, evaluate operational and program effectiveness and develop solutions to make improvements or address performance issues.\nStrong project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.\nCapable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.\nExcellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.\nKnowledge of military and Veteran populations.\nWhat We Offer:\nPivot Path Solutions strives to attract, motivate, and retain the best people in the industry.
