As a Pelletizer Operator you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. The Pelletizer Operator is responsible for the process of recycling scrap and ground materials. They operate machinery to convert these waste products into new pellets, and are responsible for monitoring production, adjusting machine settings, and inspecting the quality of the finished product. The role also involves handling raw and finished materials, along with maintaining accurate records.\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nSet up and run pelletizing machines, continuously monitoring the process to ensure efficient and effective production.\nAdjust machine settings and feed rates as needed to optimize output.\nTroubleshoot machine issues using a troubleshooting guide. Escalate more complex problems to the appropriate personnel for resolution.\nInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.\nAccurately sort, package, weigh, and label finished products.\nRecord production data and maintain precise inventory records.\nUse motorized rolling stock to transport raw materials and finished products to and from designated areas.\nMaintain housekeeping standards of assigned work areas.\nMaintain safety standards for assigned equipment and work areas.\nReport food safety issues to management.\nMaintain company attendance standards.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nDo you have what it takes? Successful candidates for the role will possess the following:\n\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\n\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nBasic knowledge of computers and entry procedures.\nCapability to utilize problem-solving skills.\nMust be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members.\nAble to utilize interpersonal and communication skills in daily work.\nMust be self-motivated and positive.\nFlexible and adaptable.\nDisplay highest ethical standards.\nDetail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\nUpholds and supports organizational goals and Core Values.\nAbility to maintain regular and reliable attendance\nTakes initiative and asks for help when needed.\nSix months related experience and/or training.\nMotorized Rolling Stock certified within 14 days of hire required.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\n\nThis role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.\n\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment:\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock and exposure to extreme molten plastic temperature. The employee is frequently exposed to height of 8-10 feet and vibration.
