3020009As a Senior DevOps Engineer II, you will lead the evolution of our infrastructure and development processes, with a strong focus on cloud engineering across GCP and AWS, CI/CD, observability, and automation. You will own complex, multi-step technical initiatives with meaningful design and operational risk, and partner across development, security, operations, and infrastructure teams to enable reliable, scalable delivery across the platform.What You'll Do:Design, build, and operate scalable, resilient infrastructure on GCP and AWSLead and improve Kubernetes platforms, focusing on automation, reliability, and efficient resource usageArchitect and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Harness) to support safe, reliable deploymentsImplement and evolve observability using Dynatrace to improve monitoring, alerting, and incident responseDrive automation and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and AnsiblePartner with development teams to improve application performance, scalability, and platform adoptionContribute to cost optimization, resilience testing (load and chaos testing), and reliability initiativesParticipate in a shared on-call rotation (approximately once every six weeks; rotation frequency depends on team size)Mentor peers, help define platform standards, and document best practicesWhat You'll Need:7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related fieldStrong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) (compute, networking, storage, IAM, managed services)At least 2–3 years in one cloud and solid experience in the otherAdvanced experience with CI/CD platforms, such as Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or JenkinsSolid experience with observability tools, including Dynatrace or equivalent platforms (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Proficiency with containerization and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration platforms)Strong experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or PulumiScripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or GoProven experience automating infrastructure and workflows at scaleStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with attention to detailClear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical direction across teams with competing prioritiesInterest in standardization, efficiency, and continuous technical improvementSkills That Set You Apart:Experience with internal developer portals or platform-as-a-service solutions (e.g., Backstage, Harness IDP)Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environmentsRelevant certifications, such as:AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectGoogle Professional Cloud ArchitectCKA or CKADExperience supporting database-backed workloads from a platform perspective, such as:Backup and restore strategiesSafe migration and change practices in CI/CD pipelinesConnectivity and secrets management between Kubernetes/services and managed databasesObservability for the data tierNote: This role is not a primary DBA position.
