Our operating principles: accountability, professionalism, personnel safety, selling integrity, and continuous improvement.\nO’Connor Distributing is a family-owned organization committed to long term success by following a simple strategy: hire, train, and retain a growing team of hardworking Arkansans in communities across the state.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild orders for dock routes per invoice in a timely and accurate manner.\nLoad route trucks safely with proper palletization\nPerform daily inspection of assigned warehouse equipment and reports any deficiencies.\nSafely and properly handling shipments and replenishment of product.\nMove product by safely and responsibly operating material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and floor scrubber, as needed.\nPerform cleaning and maintenance duties and reports any unsafe work area conditions.\nAssist with palletizing as requested\nCommunicate with team leader regarding quality or operations issues that need attention\nProcess, pack, and ship orders accurately\nMaintain inventory of products; restock as needed\nInspect products for damages; report as needed\nMaintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment\nReceive and appropriately sort and store incoming products\nPrepare products for shipping\nOther duties as assigned.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School diploma or its equivalent, preferred\nPrevious warehouse experience and/or training, preferred\nAbility to understand and follow verbal and written English instructions\nDemonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment\nDemonstrate and exhibit high levels of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task\nBasic math skills\nWork with a safety-first attitude.\nSelf-motivated; customer-focused\nExcellent relationship management and relational skills\nDetail-oriented; prioritize important action items; problem solver, active listener, independent thinker\nPhysical Requirements\nCarrying and lifting of up to 65 pounds to perform various duties as assigned for extended periods\nStanding for extended periods of time to perform various duties\nWalking for extended periods of time to perform various duties\nFrequent squatting and/or bending to perform various duties as assigned\n\nGENERAL STATEMENT\nA drug screen and background check is required.\nAll productive applicants must share a commitment to O’Connor Distributing goals and an ability to succeed in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
