{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"bbf0dfe2f4493d68cb6aa02d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bbf0dfe2f4493d68cb6aa02d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bbf0dfe2f4493d68cb6aa02d","title":"Electrical Superintendent","description":"An Electrical Superintendent is the primary job site supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.\n\nDescription:\nA Superintendent is the primary jobsite supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment for large, typically ground up projects requiring complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nResponsible for all Walker field trades on an electrical construction project.\nDoes a working estimate and take-off jointly with the Project Manager.\nLays out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons, and is jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.\nEstablishes work schedules and man-loading charts.\nInterfaces with representatives of the General Contractor on day to day project scheduling and overall performance issues.\nProvides general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and distribution apparatus such as switch gear, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.\nMonitors work as performed, directs subordinate supervisors and crews, and schedules work according to the pace of the job and other trades.\nHandles or oversees the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.\nIs responsible overall project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which assigned. Assures compliance with all Walker safety processes and protocols. Investigates or assists in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.\n\nPosition Requirements\nMust possess all skills of lower rated positions including Superintendent, Foreman, Journeyman, E5 Apprentice Electrician\nLicenses: Current Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.\nEducation: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.\nExperience: 8 years or more of commercial/ electrical experience.\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
