We promote professional development, career advancement, and flexible work schedules.Departmental Specific ResponsibilitiesOversees IU Press databases and order fulfillment systems to ensure data integrity and accurate, timely financial reporting.Manages all revenue processing, including permissions, subsidies, royalties, and customer payments, and electronic sales income.Distributes income across IU Press accounts and handle deposits, wire transfers, direct payments, internal billings, and web-based income.Oversees accounts receivable, including collections, monitoring overdue accounts, and managing write-offs.Processes monthly statements (books division) and journal renewals.Reconciles database reports with Kuali Financial System (KFS) reports and resolve discrepancies; provide reports to the staff accountant.Approves refunds, internal billings, expense distributions, and disbursement vouchers.Retrieves and process electronic book sales data and payments.Maintains accurate accounting for annual write-offs and ensure proper financial tracking.Develops, refines, and implements processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance reporting and customer service.Collaborates regularly with IU Press divisions, IU departments, and external partners to support operations.Ensures the integrity of order fulfillment, inventory, and royalty systems.Processes honorariums and IU Press Invoices.General ResponsibilitiesUnder moderate supervision, performs financial and administrative tasks related to processing financial or other administrative records.Processes documents into the university's central information systems (Travel, KFS, HRMS, etc.) and verifies that information is correct. Investigates and resolves discrepancies in financial documents.Maintains records of financial transactions, compiles data, and prepares reports.Verifies accuracy of adjustments to payroll including supplements and garnishments. Audits, coordinates, and processes payroll; verifies accuracy of payroll information.Confirms available accounts and ensures timely payments are made to payees.Responds to inquiries regarding financial and/or personnel policies and procedures.Serves as a liaison to department and/or other university divisions.May provide guidance to lower-level employees on their day-to-day work.Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
