The Linux Systems Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring our Linux servers and systems are configured and running optimally. This individual will solve complex database problems and play a critical role in the overall success of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals that enjoy working in a collaborative environment and enjoy making a difference.\r\nPosition Responsibilities\r\nDesign and manage the installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux servers and workstations\r\nProvide technical support for computer network issues\r\nCollaborate with others to resolve information technology issues\r\nDesign integrated computer systems\r\nTest computer hardware performance\r\nTest software performance\r\nDocument operational activities\r\nInstall computer hardware\r\nInstall new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with best practices.\r\nPerform system monitoring, integrity verification, and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes\r\nPerform regular security monitoring to identify any intrusions\r\nCreate, execute, and maintain data backup plan\r\nEnsure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media\r\nCreate, change, and or delete user accounts as required\r\nResponsible for hardware/software asset management and deployment for new and existing employees\r\nProvide help desk support and resolve issues for end-users\r\nJob Qualifications & Experience Minimum Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science or related field\r\nProficiency with Bash, Python, or a UNIX oriented scripting language (particularly with a focus on automation)\r\nMinimum of 6 years of systems administration experience in a small to medium sized business's IT team\r\nExperience working in a Linux environment as a system administrator\r\nFamiliarity with basic networking (IP addresses, routing, firewalls)\r\nFamiliarity with configuration management tools\r\nMust have a US Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nMaster's degree in computer science or related field\r\n10 years of systems administration experience\r\nExperience in Ansible\r\nCompTIA Linux+ Certification\r\nExperience working in an Enterprise Linux environment with any distribution\r\nExperience with LUKS encryption and LVM management at scale\r\nSELinux or AppArmor Endpoint Management\r\nContainerization experience with Docker or equivalent a huge plus\r\nServer Endpoint Automation and Deployment with Kubernetes or equivalent\r\nCompTIA Server+ Certification\r\nRed Hat Certified Engineer Certification\r\nThe total compensation for this role can vary from $125,000 to $156,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
