Information Technology Specialist

🔹 IT Financial Analysis Role – Excel-Driven EnvironmentThis role is focused on IT Financial Analysis, supporting technology budgets, spend tracking, and financial reporting in a highly Excel-driven environment.⚠️ This is NOT an IT support or infrastructure role. The position is strictly focused on financial analysis within IT, including budgeting, variance analysis, and reporting.Key Responsibilities• Own and manage portions of the IT budget, including forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis • Support IT budgeting and forecasting processes, including budget vs. actual tracking • Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations of financial performance • Maintain and analyze IT spend data across projects and operational expenses • Develop and update Excel-based financial reports, models, and tracking tools • Assist with cost allocation and expense categorization across IT functions • Partner with IT and Finance teams to gather, validate, and reconcile financial data • Support month-end and quarterly financial reporting activities • Identify opportunities to improve data organization, reporting, and transparency Required Qualifications• 7+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, or IT Finance • Experience supporting IT budgets, technology spend, or project financials • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) • Experience with: – Budgeting & forecasting – Variance analysis – Financial reporting • Ability to work with large datasets and reconcile financial information • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a hands-on environment Preferred (Nice to Have)• Experience in IT Finance or Technology organizations • Exposure to cost allocation or chargeback models • Experience working in Excel-driven or early-stage financial environments • Familiarity with tools like Oracle, SAP, or similar financial systems
