Come join our team!\nWe are hiring a detail-oriented Materials Manager and Inventory Accountant to perform and coordinate buying activities within our organization. This person will focus on partnering with and developing supplier relationships to improve outcomes for our customers and stakeholders. As a member of the finance team, this role reports to the CFO.\nProcurement responsibilities:\nOptimize inventory levels, investment and carrying costs\nVet and develop close working relationships with new and existing suppliers\nManage supplier performance, including pricing, lead times, delivery reliability, and product quality\nProcure products in coordination with managers across the organization\nDevelop purchasing budgets, policies and procurement strategies\nManage logistics, freight and third-party warehouses\nArrange shipping and obtain competitive freight rates\nMonitor obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory\nSupport operations with accurate data, including product usage and forecasts, risk analyses, etc.\nInventory accounting responsibilities:\nCoordinate physical inventory counts at all locations\nInvestigate inventory variances and recommend corrective actions\nManage the stock ledger and sku maintenance\nPerform cost accounting related to co-manufactured products\nAnalyze operational costs, labor, overhead, and material variances\nAssist in pricing analyses, monthly close and gross margin reporting\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field\n3-5 years of progressive experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, purchasing, or supply chain management\nExperience negotiating multi-year, multi-location supply agreements\nExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or food and beverage environments preferred\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and inventory costing methodologies\nExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Sage, Acumatica, etc.).\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal\nPreferred certifications include Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)\nExperience supervising employees preferred\nWe Oﬀer:\nCompetitive salary and beneﬁts\nCasual oﬃce environment\nMedical/Dental Insurance\n401k with Company match\nPaid time oﬀ\nEmployee discounts and free coﬀee beverages\nAbout Caffe Vita\nWe roast our coffee by hand, highlighting the intentionality and craft of the farmer.
