We break new ground.\n\nAbout The Position\n\nOur team is seeking an Associate to join our Strategic Communications team in New York, NY or Washington, D.C. to execute communication strategies for clients ranging from corporate leaders to advocacy groups.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nClient Management\nManage the day-to-day operational needs of client accounts, ensuring materials (e.g., agenda, notes, clips), timelines, and information (e.g., project trackers) are accurate and accessible.\nSupport the execution of client projects and work streams, own defined deliverables from start to finish.\nStrategic Communications Specialty Specific\nProduce high-quality first drafts of communications materials, including press releases, pitches, op-eds, and thought leadership content.\nMaintain current knowledge of media industry trends, emerging platforms, and the evolving media landscape.\nSupport media relations efforts, including media list development, reporter outreach, coverage tracking, and interview coordination.\nResearch and draft messaging and narratives that reflect a clear understanding of the client's vision, voice, and audience.\nCollaboration\nWork effectively across internal teams and functions to move client work forward.\nCommunicate clearly with peers, client leads, and small audiences, including through internal presentations.\nShare knowledge with the team and support the onboarding and development of newer staff or interns.\nProject & Time Management\nDeliver assigned work on time and to a quality standard that requires minimal rework.\nKeep documents, trackers, and shared resources organized and current for team use.\nStrategy\nUnderstand how individual tasks connect to broader account and client goals.\nProduce first-draft content — presentations, emails, client materials, social content — that is largely error-free and requires limited revision.\nApply feedback to improve future work products.\nConduct research that informs client strategy and problem-solving; escalate issues to senior staff when necessary.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Political Science, or a related field.\n1+ year of experience in a communications role either in-house, agency, political campaign, government or consultancy environment. Internship experience considered.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice across formats and audiences.\nSolid research and information-gathering skills, with sound judgment about source credibility.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience and/or interest in corporate, advocacy or political campaign environment\nExperience and/or interest in press relations, message development and strategic planning.\nCreativity, energy, and an entrepreneurial spirit.\n\nWhat You'll Receive\nCompetitive salary\nAnnual bonus opportunity\nFlexible hybrid remote/in office plan\nRetirement plan with automatic 3% safe-harbor contribution from Precision\nHealthcare coverage - medical, dental and vision with 90% of costs covered by Precision\nPaid vacation and sick leave\nPaid parental leave\nFloating holidays\nProfessional development stipend\n\nWe are currently working in a hybrid model and require staff to work in the office 50% of the working days in the month.\n\nThe salary range for this role is $58,500-60,000.\n\nPrecision is committed to building a diverse team that will positively and authentically impact the communities we serve.
