{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"bbada837eb08bed5c38f6685","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bbada837eb08bed5c38f6685","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bbada837eb08bed5c38f6685","title":"EHS Coordinator","description":"JOB SUMMARY\nThis position will be responsible for the implementation of Armor Metal’s Safety Program.\nResponsibilities include:\nImplementing new safety procedures and policies\nCollecting, updating and preparation of safety data (i.e. OSHA 300 Log, MDSD library, etc)\nDeveloping charts/graphs on safety metrics from collected data\nMaintaining safety regulatory registrations, certifications, listings and related correspondence\nDeveloping and maintaining training matrices for safety related training\nDeveloping and publishing safety training modules, classes, and coordinating outside safety training\nDirecting the activities of the Safety Committee\nInvestigating and tracking of accidents and near misses\nCoordinating the company’s DOT program\nOrganize and distribute plant-wide safety communications\nParticipate in machinery and plant hazard assessment\nManage the company’s PPE and First Aid supplies\nPerforming weekly safety and bi-weekly 6S inspections\nDriving continuous improvement of the company’s safety program\nAdditional items as assigned by manager\nPRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY\nThis position interacts with all company employees.\nCOMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS\nCommunication skills\nTime management skills\nAbility to motivate employees to be safe on the job\nAll Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor’s core values of being:\nCustomer Focused\nPassionate about Work\nSolution Oriented\nDriven by Integrity\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nPrior experience in safety field is preferred\nBachelor’s degree is preferred\nCertifications in OSHA’s 30 hr safety course and CPR are preferred\nEQUIPMENT USED\nThis position uses a personal computer, copier/fax machine and telephone.\nWORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS\nThis position works from an office area but significant amounts of time will be on the shop floor.\n\nThe Armor Group, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer.
