The Operator will safely operate heavy equipment and excavating machinery to complete earthworks, site preparation, and material handling tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy equipment, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively on diverse construction and industrial projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders and other machinery for earthmoving and site preparation tasks\nPerform safe and efficient excavating, trenching, grading, and backfilling according to project plans and site specifications\nConduct pre-start and post-operation equipment inspections, report defects and perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs\nFollow site safety protocols and environmental guidelines, including lockout/tagout, traffic management and erosion control measures\nRead and interpret site plans, grades and levels; communicate with site supervisors and spotters to ensure accurate placement and measurements\nCoordinate with civil construction crews, truck drivers and subcontractors to maintain workflow and schedules\nMaintain accurate records of hours, fuel usage, and basic daily logs as required by the site management\nAssist with site cleanup, material stockpiling, and placement of erosion and sediment controls when needed\nQualifications\nProven experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders) in civil construction or industrial site services\nRelevant certifications or licenses (e.g., heavy equipment operator ticket, forklift license, or equivalent) as required by local regulations\nStrong knowledge of excavating techniques, earthworks, and civil construction processes\nDemonstrated commitment to safety with knowledge of OSHA or other applicable safety standards and the ability to follow site-specific safety plans\nAbility to read site plans, levels and basic surveying references; good communication and teamwork skills\nPhysically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; flexible to work extended hours or shift patterns as project demands\nValid drivers license and a clean driving record; willingness to travel to project sites as required\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
