A successful candidate will have a warm and welcoming personality, a genuine passion for the hospitality industry, and a can-do spirit.Essential FunctionsGreet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contactMust be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all timesEstablish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotelOffer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel's standards of excellence, professionalism and friendlinessDemonstrate advanced understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically communicate guest ordersDemonstrate exert proficiency in barista work and all coffee and tea-related subject matterResponsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, correct cash handling and gratuity distributionTake ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guestsMaintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotelParticipate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requestedAdhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructionsBe familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirementsCore CompetenciesHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED)Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferredStrong communication skillsCollaborative spiritEthical ConductComputer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMSPositive AttitudeEye for DetailProblem solving abilitiesThe LINE, Ned US and Saguaro portfolio is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
