As we expand our reach, we seek an experienced executive to oversee broadband operations, lead cross-functional teams, and drive network deployment excellence across the western United States.Position OverviewDescriptionStimulus Technologies is seeking a dependable and technically skilled Tower Climber / Wireless Installer & IT Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems and network infrastructure. This role blends hands-on tower work with wireless installation and foundational IT/network support. Fiber optic experience is a plus.The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, has experience installing wireless equipment, and possesses a solid understanding of IT and networking systems.Key ResponsibilitiesTower Climbing & Wireless InstallationClimb telecommunications towers (200500+ ft) to install, maintain, and upgrade antennas, radios, and cablingInstall and align wireless equipment including microwave dishes, LTE/5G radios, and access pointsPerform cabling (coax, power, grounding) and weatherproofingFollow all safety protocols and perform site inspectionsWireless & Network SystemsInstall and configure wireless backhaul and point-to-point/point-to-multipoint systemsTroubleshoot signal, interference, and connectivity issuesAssist with commissioning and testing of wireless networksWork with RF and networking teams to optimize system performanceIT & Technical SupportConfigure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and network devicesSupport basic LAN/WAN infrastructure and IP connectivity issuesAssist with device setup, firmware updates, and remote access systemsMaintain documentation of network configurations and installationsFiber Optics (Preferred / Plus)Assist with basic fiber installation, termination, or troubleshootingPerform testing using power meters or other tools (if experienced)Work alongside fiber teams when neededEducation and ExperienceRequiredExperience in tower climbing and/or wireless equipment installationBasic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, switches)Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environmentsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsValid drivers licensePreferred (Nice to Have)Fiber optic experience (splicing, testing, or installation)Certifications such as:OSHA 10/30ComTrain or tower safety certificationCompTIA A+, Network+, or similarExperience with ISP, WISP, or telecom environmentsKnowledge of RF fundamentals and wireless technologiesSkills & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilityAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAttention to safety and detailGood communication and documentation skillsAdaptability in fast-paced field environmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb towers and work at significant heightsLift and carry 5075 lbs of equipmentWork outdoors in varying weather conditionsAlignment with Core ValuesAt Stimulus Technologies, our core values define how we work.
