Late applications will not be accepted.Job Description JOB OVERVIEW The Target Hiring Range for this position is: $102,745-$112,000The United States Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Program Manager (PM) for its Police Operations team. The Police Operations PM will support a variety of Sergeant at Arms programs including Senate campus access, Head of State visit planning, Security Awareness Briefings, and Senate Committee hearing security. The PM will also be knowledgeable on law enforcement operations and will participate in a variety of special projects that enhance the overall service and information provided to the Senate community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in adaptability, time management, and customer service.Key Accountabilities/Essential Job DutiesApplies general program management practices and principals. Acts as the lead point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned programs. Plans, directs, and executes programs to include developing supporting materials, policies, procedures, agreements, and other programmatic materials and publications. Identifies issues, develops solutions, and advocates for corrective actions to ensure sound program management. Develops and presents various publications including briefings and reports to various audiences. Coordinates with stakeholders and other relevant entities. Provides customer-focused care to the Senate community on matters related to their respective areas of responsibility. Other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Required EducationBachelor’s Degree.Other Duties/ ResponsibilitiesRequired to be available at all times for sudden recall in response to emergency events affecting the Senate campus/community and deployment to alternate locations for up to 30 days, as necessary.Required Work Experience5-8 years of experience in security, emergency management and/ or continuity.Required Special Skills/ KnowledgeAs part of our hiring process, we may conduct a skills assessment to better understand an applicant’s proficiency in key areas relevant to the role. Microsoft Office suite utilization.Desired QualificationsPrevious law enforcement or security experience.Able to adapt to a fast-moving and constantly changing environment.Strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.Excellent attention to detail.Working ConditionsSince this position requires onsite presence in support of the U.S. Senate when in session, this position requires the employee to be available and prepared to work during a lapse, in inclement weather, on holidays, and during late night, overnight, and weekend sessions. In the context of government furloughs, this position is considered excepted. This position directly supports essential services of the U.S. Senate. As such, this position requires the employee be available and prepared to work during a lapse, in inclement weather, on holidays, weekends, and during late nights to ensure essential services to the Senate continue without interruption.
