The machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state‑of‑the‑art Henderson facility. There is a healthy pipeline of machine projects going forward which Civmec will be involved with.\n\nWe are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. The successful applicant will be part of a busy multi‑discipline design and delivery team delivering some of the exciting mining machine projects for our clients.\n\nYou will enjoy a full project scope of work, including design, execution, and final completion at our clients’ sites throughout WA. Perth based with optional office location - CBD or Henderson.\n\nExciting projects.\n\nGreat salary package.\n\nBe part of a company investing in local growth.\n\nRelocation support offered.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking closely with other disciplines and drafting teams (Designers, Engineers and Project Managers).\n\nPreparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of Balanced Machine including Stackers, Reclaimers and Shiploaders.\n\nUndertaking the preparation of Electrical and instrumentation deliverables including calculation reports and drawings.\n\nGenerating equipment specifications and supporting equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.\n\nDefining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects.\n\nSupport the development of less experienced Electrical and instrumentation team members.\n\nOccasional site trips (day trips) as required.\n\nEnsure compliance with Safety in Design principles in the E&I space.\n\nEngineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams.\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, or similar. As well as working towards or already gained CPEng Accreditation.\n\nAt least 5 years of experience in the conceptualization, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design of automation and control systems for mining equipment.\n\nInstrumentation and Automation hardware design experience.\n\nHave a solid understanding of technical electrical, instrumentation and control principals relating to Balanced Machines.\n\nThe ability to write technical documentation and communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team.\n\nExperience with EPLAN P8 is highly valued but not mandatory.\n\nFundamental knowledge of functional safety concepts and related documentation.\n\nFamiliarity with relevant Australian standards.\n\nAt Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a ‘Never Assume’ culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
