Pay and scope depend on experience.What you'll doDesign, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deploymentDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatable environment setupAutomate operational tasks and deployment workflows through scriptingManage source control workflows, branching strategies and release processes with development teamsSet up monitoring, logging and alerting; troubleshoot build, deployment and environment issuesWork with developers, QA and security teams to build security and quality into the pipelineSupport releases and incident response; maintain documentation and runbooksImprove the reliability, performance and cost of development and production environmentsWhat you needExperience with CI/CD tooling, infrastructure-as-code and deployment automationCI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or JenkinsInfrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep or AnsibleStrong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or PythonGit and branching strategiesWorking knowledge of Windows and Linux environmentsUnderstanding of networking, security and monitoring fundamentalsExperience with cloud platforms such as AzureStrong communication skillsPreferred backgroundDevOps experience within software engineering teamsOtherwise, DevOps experience at a technology company or in a regulated industryContainerization with Docker and KubernetesDevOps or cloud certification, such as Azure DevOps Engineer ExpertObservability and monitoring platformsExperience supporting regulated environmentsNice to haveAzure services such as AKS, App Service, Azure Monitor and Key VaultMonitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus or DatadogSecurity scanning in pipelines, such as SonarQube or Microsoft Defender for DevOpsSecrets and configuration managementHelm or GitOps tools such as Argo CDExperience levelsJunior (0-4 years): maintains pipelines and scripts with guidance, using established patterns and toolsMid (4-8 years): builds and improves pipelines and infrastructure automation independently and may guide junior staffSenior (8+ years): designs the CI/CD and infrastructure approach, sets standards, mentors others and works directly with stakeholdersWork environmentAble to safely lift up to 25 lbs and use stairsTravel: 0-5%Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave as required by state and local law.
