Van Driver (Part Time/Tues, Wed Thurs 8a-4p)
divh2Job Title/h2pAssists with transportation of residents and monitors the program during assigned shifts while ensuring the safety of the residents and program site./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliTransports residents to appointments, self-help meetings, events, and other activities./liliPerforms breathalyzer testing and toxicology screenings upon return from outings as needed./liliCoordinates transportation plan with onsite staff./liliMonitors the program site and residents in order to ensure the safety of residents is maintained./liliMaintains drivers license and obtains continued education regarding safe driving measures./liliOperates agency vehicles safely./liliInspects vehicles used daily in order to ensure compliance with all safety standards./liliAssists with vehicle maintenance logs and regular preventative maintenance as assigned./liliEnsures agency vehicles are kept fueled and in a clean and presentable appearance./liliResponds to crisis and emergency situations accordingly./liliResponds to all immediate social or housekeeping issues as they arise./liliInputs data into the agency database as requested by site supervisor./liliPerforms general program tasks as needed (e.g., answering telephones, filing, shopping, assisting with kitchen responsibilities, etc.)./liliResponds to vehicle issues and emergencies as they arise./liliAttends and participates in all individual program and agency activities as required./liliAttends and participates in all job related workshops and in-service trainings./liliPossesses a general knowledge of contagious diseases (i.e., HIV, Hepatitis B, TB etc.) and takes precautionary measures to limit transmission. Also, responds professionally and responsibly to incidents involving contagious diseases./liliAssists in the implementation of the agencys policies and procedures./liliIs mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners./liliMaintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others./liliCarries out other duties essential to the above stated responsibilities as assigned./liliRegular attendance at work location./liliReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./liliOther duties may be assigned./li/ulh3Requirements/h3ulliPrevious experience with transportation;/liliA high school or equivalency diploma with a minimum of 6 months experience of human services experience;/liliMust possess a valid New York State drivers license./li/ul/div
