Procurement Manager-industrial manufacturing company-CONFIDENTIAL- Purchasing exp leading teamssupplier relations and negotiationswork cross functionally with other teams and functions budgeting and forecasting 7+ years procurement/purchasing,degree preferredmanufacturing background preferred leadership-- located in the Greater Jackson, TN areaStrong benefits, pay and bonus $$$Global companyRoom for growthJob Responsibilities Negotiate with suppliers of non-metal supply to achieve the best overall terms in terms of cost, security of supply, quality as well as other conditions Lead and to contribute to the implementation of the strategic and tactic objectives for the purchasing. Work close with each of the plants to identify the underlying need and requirements in terms of supplyDevelop and maintain good relationships with external suppliers and service providersMaintain supplier database and related documentation. Lead and manage the purchasing team located at the production facility.Work closely with and support when needed the purchasing at production facilities in the daily execution of purchase orders under framework agreements Maintains and track the expenditures of the purchased items regularly for each plant and work actively to identify cost related purchasing savings together with each of the plant managers and the operations at the respective plantsSupport in the budget and forecast of future cost development for the various supply itemsSupport in the process and audit to verify that the suppliers are in line with Supplier Code of Conduct. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree or MBA preferredAt least seven years of experience of working with procurement/purchasing preferably in manufacturing industryExcellent negotiation skillsExcellent management and people leading skillsAnalytical, structured and process-oriented with attention to detailInterpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships both internally and externallyGood judgement and decision making and working with integrityExcellent documentation and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to coordinate and work cross functionallyProactive and self-drivenAbility to travel national required
