{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"bb5e085237fa341a6d618dda","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bb5e085237fa341a6d618dda","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bb5e085237fa341a6d618dda","title":"Dry Etch Process Engineer","description":"We are seeking an experienced Dry Etch Process Engineer to support the development and optimization of manufacturable, repeatable, and high-yield processes for highly specialized devices used in Aerospace, Defense, Bioelectronics, and High-Speed Communications.This is a hands-on role within a semiconductor fabrication environment, partnering closely with Integration, Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Operations, and Development Engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, optimize, sustain, and improve Dry Etch processes to support wafer fabrication and production.Partner with Integration Engineers, customers, and development teams to execute experiments and optimize processes for fab operations.Support new product and process introductions while ensuring consistent device performance and quality.Guide and assist Process Technicians through challenging process steps.Analyze metrology data and disposition lots based on established pass/fail criteria.Report and summarize metrology results and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.Provide effective process pass-downs to support uninterrupted Dry Etch operations.Partner with Equipment Engineering, Operations, and Management to improve cycle time, tool availability, quality, and product yield.Troubleshoot process deviations and technical issues by developing hypotheses, designing experiments, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.Sustain and improve processes involving RIE, DRIE, MRIE, ICP, Microwave Ashing, TCP, DRM, and Barrel Etching.Create and maintain Dry Etch process recipes, operating specifications, work instructions, and documentation.Perform wafer inspections and support defect control and process characterization.Utilize metrology techniques including ellipsometry and profilometry.Monitor process health using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and respond to out-of-control conditions according to established action plans.Maintain compliance with applicable equipment standards, process documentation, and manufacturing requirements.Required QualificationsSignificant semiconductor fab processing experience, specifically in Dry Etch.Hands-on experience with RIE, DRIE, MRIE, ICP, and Microwave Ashing.Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).Strong data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills.Basic understanding of semiconductor processing and algebraic concepts.Ability to troubleshoot process issues and perform root-cause analysis.Understanding of equipment maintenance requirements and their impact on process health and repeatability.Experience operating semiconductor processing equipment and developing/running Dry Etch recipes.Experience with wafer inspection, defect/particle metrology, thickness measurements, and uniformity characterization.Ability to manage multiple priorities and overlapping activities while meeting deadlines.BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field + 9 years of experience;
