Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted.\n\nHourly Rate: $23.00 per hour\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nMaintain accurate daily student attendance records.\nSupervise and ensure the safety of 20–25 students during program hours.\nProvide academic support and enrichment by implementing the program curriculum with fidelity.\nSupport students individually and in small-group settings to promote academic success.\nReceive and follow directions for assigned activities and responsibilities.\nFoster a safe, organized, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.\nServe as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student success.\nCollaborate and communicate professionally with program staff, instructional staff, parents, students, and community members.\nReport attendance, incidents, and other relevant information to the Certificated Site Program Manager and CSUDH program staff in a timely manner.\nAttend and actively participate in all required trainings and staff meetings.\nApply effective instructional and behavior management strategies learned through training.\nAdhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and district guidelines.\nMaintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nEducation and Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMinimum of 48 semester units at an institution of higher education is required, or have earned a bachelor's degree.\nMinimum of two years of experience working with students at any educational level\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nStrong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.\nAbility to plan and implement lesson plans and enrichment activities, as needed.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nDemonstrate professionalism, dependability, initiative, and a positive attitude at all times.\nMust have reliable transportation to consistently report to the assigned worksite on time.\nMust successfully pass a diagnostic exam with a score of 75% or higher.\nMust successfully complete a criminal background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting, prior to working with students.\nMust provide proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (Mantoux or other district-approved test) dated within 60 days prior to the start of employment.
