Our fast paced and casual work environment is highly focused on "Working to Wow" our customers, community, and employees.The Engineering Technician supports the Product Engineering team by assisting with the development, testing, validation, and improvement of new and existing products.Primary DutiesUtilize a 3d Scanning Romer Arm to collect scan and probe data for upcoming design projectsWork off a schedule so data is collected prior to project start datesAssistin creating ormodifyingtechnical documents and standardsMeasure all prototype projectsutilizinga CMM and hand measuring toolsWork and communicate closely with all team members from engineering and other functional areasAccurately report all data so that designs are correct, and parts are validated effectivelyFollow all safety, quality, and documentation standardsQualificationsExperience using hand measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, as well as experience using a Tomer type measuring armStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructionsBasic computer skills (Excel, documentation systems, test software a plus)Experience in DezignWorks, Solidworks and Polyworks is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environmentEducation / ExperienceAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment preferred#SuperATV#LI-BM1Dorman Products is an equal opportunity employer; we value a combination of ideas, perspectives, and cultures at our company.
