The candidate will collaborate and coordinate with the Mission Systems Hardware, Mission Systems Integration, Flight Simulation, Quality, Safety, and Support teams. This position requires project, people, and technical leadership; customer engagement; champions Agile best practices; conducts employee development and employee reviews; as well as management of team budgets and schedules.Position ResponsibilitiesLead a team of ~15 engineers in the design, development, integration, test, and verification of an operational flight program for the mission management of T-7Provide guidance, coaching, talent development, and performance feedback to a team of software engineersMonitor team performance metrics, measure performance, and implement improvements to increase productivity and qualityDevelop, execute, and monitor plans for the execution of software development projects that meet cost, schedule, and quality goalsCollaborate with program managers, customers, and Air Force stakeholders to define PI plans, project requirements and deliverablesManage cost accounts through EVM practicesTrack risks and develop/execute mitigation plans; identify and pursue opportunitiesDrive technical strategy and architecture decisions in alignment with business goalsFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high engineering standardsManage resource allocation and hiring to build a balanced and effective engineering teamEnsure effective communication within the team and across disciplinesEnsure compliance with processes and design practicesBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment:To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process.
