This role is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing projects that support production, safety, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Project Engineer will play a key role in both new system design and optimization of existing operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and implement new systems to support production, safety, and compliance goals, including pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural components across the wellfield, plant, and site systems\n\nSupport wellfield design and construction through engineering analysis and technical input\n\nDevelop project scopes, cost estimates, and budgets for proposed initiatives\n\nManage project execution, including procurement, contractor coordination, and installation oversight\n\nEvaluate and optimize existing systems; provide ongoing engineering support for maintenance activities\n\nPrepare regular reports on project status and engineering activities\n\nAssist in economic evaluations of current and potential projects\n\nProcure materials and equipment to support project needs\n\nReview and interpret environmental and regulatory requirements relevant to site operations\n\nCollaborate with and oversee contractors and internal teams as needed\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related discipline)\n\nWorking knowledge of project design, procurement, and construction practices, including environmental health and safety standards\n\nStrong communication and organizational skills\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CAD software\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and P&IDs\n\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record\n\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\n\nCombination of office, plant, and field-based work\n\nRegular exposure to industrial environments, including moving mechanical equipment and varying weather conditions\n\nAbility to walk on uneven terrain, climb ladders/stairs, and navigate active work sites\n\nOccasional exposure to low-level radiation\n\nRoutine use of computers and standard office equipment\n\nSafety Commitment\nThis role requires strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
