This role acts as a key link between maintenance, production, inventory, and vendors. This role is critical to ensure production flows efficiently; problems are addressed proactively, and resources are aligned with demand—directly impacting profitability and customer satisfaction.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nCreate, assign, and prioritize maintenance work orders.\n\nSchedule preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize production disruption and track compliance and overdue work.\n\nBalance emergency repairs with scheduled maintenance.\n\nMonitor work order completion and close-out.\n\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and update asset information and maintenance history.\n\nCoordinate equipment inspections.\n\nAssist in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.\n\nPlan daily and weekly maintenance activities.\n\nCoordinate equipment and plant shutdowns and planned outages.\n\nEnsure labor, parts, and tools are available before work begins.\n\nMaintain equipment files, manuals, and drawings.\n\nTrack warranties and service contracts.\n\nPurchase maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies.\n\nSource replacement parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables while maintaining accurate spare parts inventory while ensuring critical spare parts remain in stock. Standardize commonly used parts.\n\nObtain competitive quotations from suppliers.\n\nIssue purchase orders and track open purchase orders.\n\nMaintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms.\n\nEvaluate supplier performance while following up on late deliveries and ensuring parts arrive before scheduled repairs.\n\nCoordinate emergency orders when needed and reduce expedited shipping costs through better planning.\n\nEstablish minimum and maximum stock levels while reducing obsolete and excess inventory.\n\nConduct cycle counts and inventory audits.\n\nMonitor maintenance spending against budget while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.\n\nCommunicate maintenance schedules with production supervisors.\n\nCoordinate contractor visits.\n\nQualifications\n\n3-5 years of direct experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in blow molding, is required.\n\n3-5 years of experience with CMMS software (e.g., Fiix, MPulse, Maintenance Connection, SAP PM)\n\n3-5 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems is required\n\n3+ years of purchasing and inventory management, is required\n\n3+ years of experience working with vendors and negotiating terms is required\n\nBilingual in Spanish and English, is highly desired but not required.\n\n3+ years of experience with lean manufacturing principles is highly desired\n\nStrong mechanical aptitudeis required\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills\n\nStrong data‑driven decision‑making skills\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (tracking, reporting, analysis)\n\nEffective communication across the manufacturing environment and leadership teams\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nTypical manufacturing environment\n\n8-hour, onsite schedule.
