Radiology - Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer In the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer role, your responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters. This includes first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments. You will also perform detailed second and third trimester anatomic assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound. You will work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high-quality independent fetal imaging center. This role allows you to provide excellent ultrasound services while improving your skills and obtaining additional certifications if needed. Protocols will adhere to standards established by relevant accredited organizations. You will check equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notify appropriate personnel for repairs. Additionally, you will evaluate patients' histories and symptoms for procedures and communicate with patients clearly and professionally. You will instruct patients and/or their families regarding the tests to be performed and assess the patients' ability to tolerate the exam. You will assist the physician as needed in performing additional imaging or biopsy procedures. You will consistently model and exhibit proficiency in MFM Ultrasound Technician III competencies. You will utilize your technical knowledge and skills to perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner. You must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge, continued education, and skills to provide appropriate care for all age groups. You will be responsible for completing exam charges and image documentation and forwarding them to the radiologist in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Complete adherence to protocols established by accredited obstetric imaging organizations is expected. You will utilize multiple forms of ultrasound imaging and demonstrate skills in advanced fetal imaging studies. Diagnostic imaging studies must comply with protocols and regulations. Experience with Doppler studies for multiple clinical and ultrasound indications is essential. You will also handle ultrasounds related to invasive diagnostic testing and minimal gynecologic ultrasounds regarding findings relative to pregnancy.
