Relays information to the leads or superiors of failures to help determine possible failure trends. Assists in performing routine cleaning of benches and equipment to minimize and help maintain minimal to zero FOD (foreign object debris). This is the entry-level position, requiring basic electronic symbol recognition and basic circuit design knowledge and involves moderately complex but repetitive testing plus troubleshooting. Preferred requirement: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months and up to two years related test experience using Discreate RF and Digital Equipment and operating CAT (computer automated test).\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nRegular and predictable attendance required.\nPerform a variety of routine tasks to test and troubleshoot boards/systems.\nConducts routine equipment calibration to perform tests and detailed manual testing.\nUtilize schematics or diagrams to solve:\nElectrical problems involved in the operation of the product or board.\nFabrication related to assembling electronics or subassemblies for DOT level models.\nMay perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.\nMay perform Adjustments, calibration, alignment, (under supervision) modification of circuitry or components to improve product performance.\nMay troubleshoot boards or systems to a component level following Schematics and using discrete Test equipment.\nRequire the ability to use basic electronic theory to repair boards or systems.\nMay assist in the construction of test fixtures.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
