The CS ensures the safety, quality, efficiency, and customer experience of residential and small commercial solar projects, organizing, motivating, managing, and training crews daily. This role requires proven leadership skills, solar installation management experience, and a track record of meeting key performance metrics.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nMaintain advanced knowledge of electrical and general construction codes and serve as the construction subject‑matter expert for the branch.\n\nWork with the Branch Operations Manager to adjust construction capacity as needed.\n\nCoordinate with the Project Planner to ensure efficient execution of the construction schedule.\n\nOrganize and optimize crew structure and work schedule for highest productivity.\n\nConduct pre‑construction project reviews to determine resource requirements.\n\nCommunicate installation key performance indicator (KPI) targets and results, along with any construction incentive contests.\n\nReview crew KPIs and provide feedback and performance management for field staff.\n\nLead and assist in the training of the field construction staff, including safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, and administrative responsibilities.\n\nConduct quality control and safety inspections, providing feedback to the construction staff, Engineering Department, and Branch Operations Manager.\n\nEnsure all projects are completed with a high level of safety and quality.\n\nHandle required administrative duties, including training documentation, inspection documentation, project documentation completion, field purchase orders, and timecard data entry.\n\nConduct weekly safety \"Tool Box Talk\" meetings to ensure proper use of electrical safety practices, fall protection, and PPE.\n\nCollaborate with Warehouse personnel to ensure crews are accurately and efficiently stocking and restocking installation vehicles and project materials.\n\nDemonstrate competency and confidence in leading mechanical and electrical work on both roof and ground‑mounted solar projects.\n\nRelate to the public and customers in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner.\n\nMeet inspectors and walk them through projects, discussing NEC code as needed.\n\nDepending on branch needs, document and complete service calls as required.\n\nAssist on project installations ensuring their successful completion as needed.\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nMinimum of 5 years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.\n\nElectrical certification/license.\n\nMotivated team player looking to succeed.\n\nClear ability to give and follow instructions, learn quickly, and ask questions when needed.\n\nExcellent people skills and ability to manage, motivate, and discipline staff.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational and time‑management skills.\n\nProfessional appearance and customer interaction.\n\nOperational focus with strong work ethic and leadership by example.\n\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record.\n\nStrong mechanical and construction skills.\n\nProficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).\n\nKnowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.\n\nCPR and First Aid certifications up to date.\n\nAbility to dive deep and get involved in day‑to‑day tasks.\n\nFit with Sunrun’s culture of working smart, playing hard, and dedication to success.\n\nMust be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nFull range of mobility in upper and lower body.\n\nAbility to work in various positions: stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting for extended periods.\n\nAbility to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment; lift 50 pounds frequently.\n\nAbility to set up, secure, and climb a 20‑foot ladder onto various rooftop surfaces.\n\nComfortable working in outdoor weather conditions.\n\nAbundant visual and hearing acuity to follow instructions and operate machinery.\n\nAbility to work extended periods on surfaces of various heights and angles.\n\nRecruiter\nElisa Nunez (elisa.nunez@sunrun.com)\n\nCompensation\nStarting Salary: $94,179.27 to $125,572.36.\n\nCompensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.\n\nAdditional Information\nAll candidates will receive reasonable accommodation during the hiring process or to perform this role.
