Reporting to the Sharp Engineering Manager, the DRE works closely with the Program Manager to ensure program milestones are met and part release meets or exceeds customer expectations.\n\nResponsibilities\nRelease parts within the GM system using the ECR process\nWork with Sharp Engineering team in root cause analysis and resolution of defined concerns\nWork with Sharp Engineering team to complete the approval of component validation plans during the development process\nWork with Sharp Engineering team to resolve validation concerns and implement corrective actions\nResponsible for review and approval for release of components in Team Center Engineering (TCe)\nSupport vehicle build process and vehicle signoff activities for all prototypes\nUpdate vehicles with latest production intent components\nAssist with the definition of system and hardware requirements\nKey customer contact for packaging and part release requirements\nInitiate math data transfer into GM system\nResponsible for math and drawing release within Sharp\nRelease parts within the General Motors GPDS system, and ensure timely closure of engineering changes, using GM ECR process\nDevelop and input Interface Control Documents (ICDs) as required\nResolve issues on assigned Component Technical Specification sections\nInputs answers into GM PRTS system\nSupport assembly plant or Tier 1 build events as required\nWork with the Program Manager (PM) to co-Facilitate the Product Development Team process and meetings, and co-Facilitate Design Reviews\nWork with the PM to support Sharp developed project plans accordingly\nWork with Engineering and PM to ensure component hardware delivery requirements are met\nPosition Requirements\nBSME or BSEE required\nMinimum 2 years experience required working in the Automotive Industry\nKnowledge using Unigraphics & Catia V5 as the CAD tool for 2D and 3D math is a plus\nKnowledge of Team Center Engineering (TCe) is desired\nTravel to Asia to support program development and product launch may be required\nPosition requires 3 days a week to report into GM in Warren, MI\n\nAbout Sharp Electronics Device Division (SECD)\n\nSharp Electronics Automotive Group is responsible for the design and manufacturing of various display technologies for automotive applications.
