Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, education, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.\n\nIn addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\n\nPerforms a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.\nOperates testing equipment and conducts testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provides assessment of data through reporting.\nWorks utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.\nUses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.\nMakes detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of results.\nMaintains detailed documentation and data from test results.\nOperates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.\nCommunicates effectively with client and project teams.\nMust be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.\n\nMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:\n\nEffective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required\nExternal (or task related) certifications based on region and state may be required\nBasic math, calculator, and computer skills are required\nThe ability to read and understand work plans is required\nMust be able to work off shift and overtime as needed\nValid Driver's License and reliable driving record is required\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nAbility to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds if needed. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.\nAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound\nAbility to kneel and squat occasionally\nAbility to walk and stand for long periods of time\nAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)\nAbility to climb occasionally\n\nPreferred Requirements and Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED is preferred\nExperience performing field construction materials testing and/or inspections is preferred\nNo experience required – we offer in-house training!\nACI/ICC/WACEL certifications are highly preferred\n\nIntertek: Total Quality.
