Baristas will prepare a variety of beverages along with food items for our guests in a friendly and efficient manner, while enhancing the quality of our customer service. Baristas will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards and enhance the service and goals set by Antelope Point Marina./ppstrongESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES/strong/pulliGreet guests in a polite, positive manner and create an atmosphere of hospitality;/liliTake customer orders, answer questions about the menu items and make recommendations;/liliPrepare and serve beverages and food items according to customer preferences and established recipes;/liliPossess a working knowledge of all food, beverage, and specials on offer for our guests;/liliConvey all pertinent guest information to staff and management;/liliEnsure guest satisfaction and assist guests in their dining experience;/liliCheck on guests periodically to ensure all needs are met to their satisfaction;/liliOperate point of sale system to accurately process payments;/liliOperate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment to prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea and speciality drinks;/liliHandle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, providing correct change and receipts;/liliWork closely with colleagues to relay pertinent information and function efficiently as a team;/liliMust work efficiently and in a timely manner even during times of increased business;/liliMaintain cleanliness and health code standards of the restaurant;/liliPossess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pstrongQUALIFICATIONS/strong/ppPrevious barista or food service experience preferred, but not required; Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso machines (training available); Strong customer service and communication skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Dependable and punctual; Ability to stand for extended periods; Food Handlers Card (required prior to start date); Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./ppstrongEDUCATION/strong/ppHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred./ppstrongEXPERIENCE/strong/ppThis is an entry level position. No prior experience is necessary.
