Salary : $36,192.00 AnnuallyLocation : Brawley, CAJob Type: P/T TemporaryJob Number: 202300129Department: Parks and RecreationOpening Date: 04/27/2026Closing Date: 5/6/2026 11:59 PM PacificDescriptionBASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Mini Camp Coordinator will coordinate and manage all activities for the summer programs and events.Examples of DutiesREPRESENTATIVE DUTIESResponsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling all activities for the Summer ProgramsResponsible for supervising Recreation Leaders, Recreation Aides, students in workability programs and volunteersResponsible for collection and verification of time sheets of all employeesResponsible for issuing needed equipmentResponsible for maintenance and cleaning facilityResponsible for training of staffResponsible for reporting of items that need to be purchasedResponsible for handling and reporting discipline problems with staff and participantsEnforces rulesOTHER DUTIES:Perform related duties as assignedTypical QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESAbility to work with the general public in a harmonious and cooperative mannerAbility to control large groups of children and adultsAbility to supervise other employees in a fair and courteous mannerAbility to be punctual and dependableAbility to receive and carry out instructionsAbility to work irregular hours including weekends, evenings and holidays if necessaryAbility to answer phones and handle incoming callsKnowledge of creating activities and/or projects for a large group of children and/or adultsKnowledge of safety precautions for eventsKnowledge of basic cash handlingKnowledge of the use of standard office equipmentKnowledge of business correspondence and letter writing
