(FTI) is currently seeking a Modeling And Simulation Engineering Manager to join our Product Engineering team in Menasha, WI.\r\nAs a Modeling & Simulation Engineering Manager in the R&D group, you will be responsible for the development of advanced modeling and simulation environments for electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems and enclosures used in distributed energy resources and power distribution. Leading a team of M&S engineers and collaborating with subject matter experts, product strategy teams, and systems engineers, your team will create accurate and efficient simulations that meet requirements and support product development. Furthermore, you will develop and oversee the implementation of modeling and simulation processes as critical milestones for development and validation of technologies and products within the Product Engineering organization. Through your expertise, you will play a key role in driving innovation and performance improvements in distributed energy and power distribution systems.\r\nOur Product Engineering Team sits at the intersection of innovation and execution, transforming ideas into real-world products and solutions for Excellerate Products(tm), a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI). From early concept through full-scale production, our engineers design Data Center power distribution products, Electric Vehicle charging skids, switchboards and more! With a strong focus on quality, manufacturability, and customer outcomes, we ensure every product is engineered to perform in the real worldsafely, reliably, and at scale.\r\nMinimum requirements include:\r\nMaster's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent\r\n10+ years of experience in systems simulation\r\nExperience with multi-physics modeling software such as Simulink, Simscape, Simcenter Amesim, GT Suite, or similar\r\nExperience using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to develop models and conduct analysis\r\nExperience in finite element analysis with use of Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL or similar software\r\nFamiliarity with development and use of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), model-in-loop (MIL), and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulation platforms\r\nStrong understanding of renewable energy systems including solar, wind, power, or power distribution concepts including uninterrupted power supply, power converters, switchboards, and other power electronics\r\nDemonstrated implementation of real-world power generation and distribution problems into complex modeling and simulation platforms\r\nDemonstrated development and implementation of modular component models with scalable flexibility for various levels of simulation fidelity\r\nFamiliarity with power distribution enclosures including UPS, switchboards, batteries, and power electronics\r\nDemonstrated leadership of cross-functional modeling and simulation engineering teams\r\nPreferred requirements include:\r\nPhD in electrical or mechanical engineering with demonstrated simulation experience, or demonstrated engineering research background\r\nExperience with machine learning models generated from data\r\nExperience with development of SIL, MIL, and HIL platforms for verification and validation of controls software\r\nStrong understanding of controls systems, particularly battery management, thermal system management, and energy management software and development and verification through use of simulation frameworks\r\nExperience using version control for modeling and simulation including Git or other similar tools\r\nKey responsibilities include:\r\nLeading a cross-functional modeling and simulation team developing physics-based modeling and simulation environment for a variety of electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems for distributed energy resources and power distribution\r\nLeading a cross-functional modeling and simulation team developing FEA or CFD simulations of critical components and structures to optimize robustness, cost, and guide product manufacturing\r\nStrategizing product architecture and technology trade studies and optimization to ensure maximized performance and minimal costs through simulation\r\nIntegrating cost, weight, and specification data of components, systems, and renewable energy fuels into simulation models for technoeconomic analysis of architecture options\r\nCollaborating with subject matter experts to characterize components and systems in a simulation environment and communicate analysis results\r\nArchitecting modeling and simulation processes to support development and verification across Product Engineering\r\nValues alignment:\r\nUncompromised focus on keeping people SAFE.\r\nBuild TRUST in everything we do.\r\nREDEFINE what's possible.\r\nReward individual results that create TEAM SUCCESS.\r\nWork schedule:\r\nThis position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.
