Technical Accountant

Senior AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in core accounting principles and technical accounting. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond basic A/P and A/R functions and has experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activitiesEnsure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAPManage accruals, prepaid expenses, and revenue-related accounting entriesSupport technical accounting matters including revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accountingAnalyze financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for process improvementAssist with audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirementsPartner cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and accounting treatmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to technical accounting conceptsStrong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reportingExperience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting preferredPublic accounting or Big 4 experience is a plusCPA or CPA-track preferredStrong analytical skills and attention to detailProficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems preferred
