The Testing Evaluator assists with testing for language proficiency examinations, interacting with the examinee in the evaluator's native language. Support for proficiency tests may be provided via telephone, video conferencing, or another technology-based medium (recorded audio etc.), depending on the needs of the test. The tests will be evaluated according to given scoring criteria; therefore, paid training is conducted before starting the job. Testing evaluators must be able to accept and use the required scoring procedure and maintain consistent and reliable scoring throughout their employment. They must also be willing to operate in a repetitive task situation and maintain confidentiality.\n\nResponsibilities\nPerform the test in a professional manner\nFollow the process to perform the tasks\nAdhere to the guidelines to score the tests\nEnter the data on the testing platform in a timely manner\nProvide comments and concerns to the testing department\nPerform pilot tests\nCreate and review test items\nPerform other similar duties requested by the Operations and Development Testing department\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\n\nSkills\nStrong oral and written communication skills in the target language (target language appears in job title)\nExcellent interpersonal skills\nAccuracy and attention to detail\nTechnical communication\nProfessionalism\nOrganization\nMust have email access with the capability to send and receive attached files, and must be able to navigate the Internet\nComputer literacy\n\nEducation/Training\nLanguage: Candidates must possess native fluency in the target language (target language appears in job title).\nDegree: College Degree.\nComputer Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nLanguage: A minimum English proficiency level of a 2+/2+ on the ILR proficiency scale.\n\nExperience\nAny combination of training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the position.\nSalary\nCurrent pay range for the position of Testing Evaluator: from $9.00 to $30.00 per test. Actual pay depends on several factors, including but not limited to level of education, knowledge, skills, qualifications, certifications, previous experience in similar positions, market pay rates, comparable salaries, demographic factors, geographical location, jobs availability, budget availability, revenue etc.\nFULL TIME/PART TIME\nContingent\nBENEFITS\nPart-time employees are not eligible for ALTA-sponsored benefits.\nLOCATION\nRemote\nPLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, we are not able to hire in all 50 US States.
