This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\r\nThis is an opportunity for a motivated student or recent graduate to develop practical experience in payroll operations and labor compliance within a growing organization.\r\nSkills & Core Strengths Attention to detail and accuracy\r\nOrganizational and time management skills\r\nConfididentiality and discretion\r\nWritten and verbal communication\r\nResearch and data verification\r\nMicrosoft Excel proficiency\r\nDocument management and recordkeeping\r\nRegulatory compliance awareness\r\nProcess follow-through and accountability\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities\r\nAdaptability in a fast-paced environment\r\nWhat You'll Do Track and maintain certified payroll requirements for Public Works projects across multiple states\r\nOrganize, file, and update weekly and monthly compliance documentation within shared systems\r\nDistribute certified payroll reports and required compliance documentation to customers\r\nResearch and verify prevailing wage requirements based on project date, county, and job classification\r\nAssist with onboarding activities, including setting up employees in timekeeping systems and providing login instructions\r\nGenerate and submit DAS-140 and DAS-142 forms for California Public Works projects\r\nSupport responses to government agency document requests and audit inquiries\r\nMonitor subcontractor compliance status and follow up on missing documentation\r\nProvide administrative support for payroll processing and compliance operations\r\nSupport additional payroll and compliance initiatives as assigned\r\nWhat We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Payroll, Human Resources or a related field\r\nAvailability to work part-time during standard business hours (schedule may be adjusted based on academic commitments)\r\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\r\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\r\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word\r\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion\r\nAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities\r\nPreferred Qualifications Prior coursework or internship experience related to payroll\r\nExposure to certified payroll or prevailing wage requirements\r\nFamiliarity with systems such as LCP Tracker, DIR, or Points North\r\nAbout Us Avidex is a leading player in the audiovisual and IT integration industry, delivering cutting-edge solutions to a diverse range of clients.
