Engineering Test Technician

Experience should include proficient knowledge of:Analog I/ODigital I/OCAN systemsLow Voltage and High voltage systemsTroubleshoot and debug test setups.MechanicalElectricalSoftwareWork with Design engineering on custom test configurationsDesign and build basic lab fixtures and toolsProcure, install, organize and maintain test equipmentMaintain a clean, safe and useable lab and shop spacePerform routine maintenance of testing equipmentSupport engineering activities including prototype development, proof of concept studies, process and assembly validation.Communicate cross-functionally with engineering teams to achieve project goals and meet timeline deadlines.What You Need:Associate's Degree, or equivalent extensive practical experience as a testing technicianDirect hands on experience with mechanical and electronic assembliesLV/HV wiring fabricationProficient knowledge of electrical circuitry including HV systemsExperience with product testing, including (but not limited to):Specialty Dyno testingBattery TestingElectrical testingExcellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methodsExperience following all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).Ability to occasionally conduct physically demanding test activities and ability to lift 50 lbsMust be adaptable and able to work a flexible schedule based on project or team needsPreferred: Valid High Voltage training certificate from an OEM or demonstrated working knowledge of battery powered systemsPreferred: Basic Python experiencePreferred: Basic CAD design experience (i.e. NX, Catia, Solidworks)Bonus Qualifications:Veristand/Labview experiencePCB level work/re-work experienceDirect experience with aviation builds and assemblyPassion for aviation and eVTOLsAt Archer, we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent with the skills and leadership needed to grow our business.
