We are building a collaborative, family-centered environment focused on providing exceptional care while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence.\nAs a startup ABA company, we are looking for an experienced Billing Coordinator who is excited to help build systems, improve workflows, and grow with our organization.\nPosition Summary\nThe Billing Coordinator will oversee the complete billing and revenue cycle for our ABA services while collaborating with our Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy teams to ensure accurate multidisciplinary billing. This role requires someone with extensive ABA billing experience, a strong understanding of Texas payer requirements, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with our clinical and administrative teams.\nThis is primarily a remote position with occasional in-clinic hours for team meetings, training, workflow development, and collaboration.\nResponsibilities\nReview, process, submit, and reconcile all insurance claims accurately and efficiently.\nEnsure timely claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and appeals.\nVerify authorizations and ensure services are billed within approved limits.\nMaintain compliance with payer-specific guidelines and documentation requirements.\nMonitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims.\nWork closely with BCBAs, RBTs, therapists, and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies.\nCoordinate with therapists to ensure documentation supports medical necessity and meets payer requirements.\nReview treatment notes for billing accuracy and compliance.\nUnderstand and apply Texas Medicaid and commercial insurance billing requirements for ABA services.\nMaintain current knowledge of Texas CPT coding guidelines, billing regulations, and payer policies related to ABA.\nAssist with credentialing, payer enrollment, and startup billing workflows as needed.\nDevelop and improve billing processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.\nAssist leadership with reporting on collections, denials, aging reports, and revenue cycle metrics.\nIdentify opportunities to improve reimbursement and reduce claim denials.\nSupport operational initiatives as our ABA program continues to grow.\nQualifications\nRequired\nMinimum of 2-3 years of ABA billing experience.\nExperience billing Texas Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.\nStrong knowledge of Texas ABA CPT coding guidelines and payer requirements.\nExperience managing the full revenue cycle, including:\nClaims submission\nPayment posting\nDenials and appeals\nAccounts receivable follow-up\nReconciliations\nExperience with authorizations and insurance verification.\nExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication skills with both clinical and administrative teams.\nAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities.\nPreferred\nExperience billing within a multidisciplinary pediatric practice (ABA, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and/or Physical Therapy).\nKnowledge of credentialing and payer enrollment.\nExperience developing billing workflows and standard operating procedures.\nExperience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and practice management software.\nAdvanced Excel or reporting skills.\nBilingual ( Spansih)\nWhat
