A/R Specialist

Law firm is seeking an A/R Specialist to join their Los Angeles office.ResponsibilitiesApply and reconcile daily incoming payments (checks, ACH transactions, lockbox receipts, and wire transfers)Ensure all cash receipts are accurately posted to client accounts and the general ledgerReview and process Positive Pay exceptions to help safeguard against fraudulent activityCoordinate and initiate outgoing wire transfers after confirming proper approvals and authorizationsOversee trust account transactions, including deposits, refunds, and disbursementsPrepare and process remote bank deposits and reconcile activity within the firm’s accounting platformInvestigate payment discrepancies, unapplied funds, and account variancesRespond to inquiries related to invoice balances, payment history, and cash applicationsProcess approved account adjustments and write-offs as necessaryGenerate financial reports and provide timely updates to attorneys, clients, and managementMaintain accurate electronic payment records and supporting documentation for audit purposesQualificationsBachelor's degreeAt least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting operations requiredPrior law firm or professional services experience preferredExperience using ProLaw or comparable accounting software preferredStrong understanding of banking platforms, reconciliations, and transaction researchProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word a mustHire Options Inc. and its clients are equal opportunity employers.
