And ─ as “one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” ─ is focused on the mind/body/soul of team members through our Culture of Care.\nThe Mechanical Engineer - Level 3 is responsible for performing mechanical design for power system products, under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager.\n\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering\n\nExperience: 5 years of progressive engineering related experience\n\nor\n\nEducation: Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology\n\nExperience: 9 years of progressive engineering related experience\n\nTravel: 5-10%\n\nWork Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvides guidance to Level 1 and 2 Engineers and Designers.\n\nConverts prototype designs into commercially viable mechanical systems.\n\nPerforms detailed calculations to design for system cooling requirements.\n\nConfers with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential product designs.\n\nProvide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.\n\nInspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.\n\nCompiles data and writes reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.\n\nContributes to creation of technical manuals.\n\nOperates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.\n\nGuides layout for mechanical construction projects.\n\nConducts field surveys and studies diagram/ other data to identify and correct mechanical system problems.\n\nProvides mechanical engineering leadership for complex projects with minimal team leader oversight.\n\nParticipates in customer/project interviews.\n\nProvides training for other technical personnel in areas of expertise.\n\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned.\n\nThe job description and responsibilities described are intended to provide guidelines for job expectations and the employee's ability to perform the position described.
