You open SolidWorks, pull in the station CAD, and overlay it against each building's floor plan - 3 fit perfectly with our standard components, 1 needs a bracket modification for a column obstruction, and 1 has a cable routing conflict you need to solve. You document the 3 clean fits, design the bracket mod, and flag the cable routing issue for a field assessment next week. After lunch you're on a call with a vendor reviewing first samples against your spec - checking dimensions and material before approving a production run. Later you're updating your milestone tracker because a funding window shifted and two designs need to accelerate. You Slack the deployment engineer to confirm the updated timeline works for their site schedule.
