(Benefit Plans can be requested at time of submission to client) Equipment provided, including a company-issued laptop.Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a New Business Case Specialist for their client in the insurance industry. The New Business Case Specialist is responsible for the new case submission process and the review of sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy in order to release the acceptance of risk for new business. This position provides front-end new group business sales activity, ensuring proper coordination with sales management, BCBS representatives, BCBS agency managers, brokers, managing general agents, and other partners.They are also responsible for resolving escalated issues, interacting with underwriting to mediate risk, and assisting with projects, initiatives, and process reviews. Main responsibilities include assessing risk and communicating findings with underwriting, setting up proper documentation and notifications to reinsurers and the reinsurance department, and acting as a liaison between marketing, underwriting, and policy issue coders. The role also verifies rates for accuracy with applicable commission levels and discounts, identifies sub-types for commissions on specific products, validates broker licensing and appointments, and audits pricing discounts taken by marketing to ensure compliance with MARS controls.Click Apply Now to join the Chamberlain experience!What You Will Be Accountable ForOwns the new case submission process and reviews sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy in order to release the acceptance of risk for new business.Provides front-end new group business sales activity, ensuring proper coordination with sales management, BCBS representatives, BCBS agency managers, brokers, managing general agents, and other partners.Resolves escalated issues, interacts with underwriting to mediate risk, and assists with projects, initiatives, and process reviews.Assesses risk on incoming new business and communicates findings clearly with underwriting.Sets up proper documentation and notifications to the reinsurers and the reinsurance department.Acts as a liaison between marketing, underwriting, and policy issue coders to ensure smooth case handoffs.Verifies rates for accuracy against applicable commission levels and discounts.Identifies sub-types for commissions on specific products and knows when to communicate with the commissions team to establish new sub-types.Validates broker licensing and appointment status prior to releasing new business.Audits pricing discounts taken by marketing to ensure compliance with MARS controls.Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, brokers, agency managers, and other partners.Maintains complete confidentiality of company business and complies with all applicable corporate and departmental policies.What Qualifications You NeedHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field preferred.1+ year of experience in an administrative, customer service, operations, or insurance support role.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Customer service skills.Ability to respond to emails timely and effectively.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documentation, rates, and paperwork.Information research skills and the ability to use various databases and search functions.Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all communications.Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to learn new applications to function effectively.Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects.Familiarity with the insurance, group benefits, or financial services industry is a plus.Exposure to broker licensing, underwriting, commissions, reinsurance, or compliance/audit controls (such as MARS) is a plus.Why Work with Chamberlain?
